Changing the oil on vehicles equipped with upside down oil filters can be a very messy task. The tools currently available on the market don't have a way of containing the mess and keeping the technician clean, so our No Mess oil filter wrench was born.
I just poke a hole at the side of the filter, on the end farthest from the oil filter mount, unscrew the filter 1/4 turn, the poke another hole in the side of the filter, near the base, to let air in, and oil out.... No mess. See my photos above. Sent from my SM-G965U using Tapatalk
May 06, 2017 · I cut a milk jug up and used it. A gallon one. And left the handle so that way you have something to grip it by and maneuver it around with. Worked great. Only dripping was when some oil ran down my hand while unscrewing the filter.
First, loosen the oil filter a tiny bit (just to be sure you can get it off). Leave it on tight enough that it isn’t dripping oil. Grab your punch and puncture the oil filter so that it will drain easily into your pan below. wait until it stops dripping into your catch pan and remove it (there may still be a little residual oil left in it).
Commercial Grade Filter and Can Crusher. This oil filter crusher and paint can crusher expertly crushes even your toughest filters and cans to 20% - 25% of their original size in seconds. At the drastically reduced size, cans and oil filters are much cheaper to dispose, so the Ranger RP-20FC is good for the environment AND your bank account.
It's a GREAT idea. But the 3 sizes without any size markings leaves you to just guessing, so this doesn't fit. I have to loosen it with something else, and the use this to drop the filter. It does to that well, so you can actually do a no mess oil change, when combined with an oil drain valve, like a Fumoto F-106N Engine Oil Drain Valve

This should have been on the mower from the factory. This will keep you from spilling oil everywhere when you change your oil. Briggs even molded a place for it to attach to the engine cover. Be sure to also order the connector. This is just as pictured and does not include the part that screws in to replace the drain plug.
